Default Final Drive good idea?

OK, I got a M2B4 LSD tranny coming in soon and plan on having it torn down and adding carbon coated synchros. I was wondering if I should look into adding a shorter final drive along with it? I plan on going turbo eventually and will be aiming for ~350 whp. I've heard that shorter gears are bad for turboed cars? Any insight?

I haven't heard of too many people using a fd with turbo cars. Might want to think about a quaife lsd depending on how much power you are laying down.

Having a fd will affect your highway mileage. Your rpm's will be higher. If you do a lot of highway driving... reconsider the fd.

To add to that you could also consider adding the final drive and going to a taller wheel and tire combo to lengthen the gears again. Read: huge tire contact patch without sacrificing the acceleration. Otherwise adding big tires and wheel to hold them would decrease the acceleration without the better final drive
