Getting Shocked!
During the winter months, when the air is drier, static electricity builds up from the friction of your body/clothes on the seat. When you go to leave, you are charged and when you touch anything metalic, you will release that energy in the form of a little spark. I used to scoot my feet on the carpet during the winter, then go and kiss my mom, zap the hell out of her. We don't really talk anymore...
