Lowering spring/shock combo sugestions for $300 or under.
Not looking for anything fancy like adjustable shocks and high spring rates.
Just something that'll look good and won't be bouncy *Underdampened*
Maybe used?
1998 civic.
thanks.
There's tons and tons of springs and coilovers for dirt cheap on ebay
but have no idea if they're good or trash.

They are cheap, and being sold on ebay for a reason, just like anything else. You probably have a good idea why. Its not what you want to hear probably, but you're going to need to spend a little more for quality.
As far as quality items go, there are lots of good combos recommended on H-T. Dig through the threads on this page and the next, I'd be surprised if you didn't come up with some good ideas.

There's some name brand "tien" springs on there for 80 bux.
I'm not going to any track time, just for looks but I dont' want to be slamed and bouncying round like some ricer.

KYB AGX = $280
Spings that lower how much you want = $150
shipping, etc = $30
you won't get anything "not bouncy" and with "high spring rates" for $300.
Oh and Tein has soft spring rates, S-Tech are pretty much stock GSR spring rates but lower just under 2"
$450 min to do spring/shocks, oh and don't forget to get an alignment after...so theres $60 right there of your $300 budget

Are GSR springs stiffer then stock?
I don't want anything with "high spring rates" Something
streetable.
So the kyb agx shocks won't bottem out our blow with the tien springs?
Wich springs do you recomend me going with?
I see the kyb agx are adjustable... I don't want to waste my money on that crap.
I just want a shock that'll match whatever spring I'll go with.
If you guys have any sugestions don't be affraid to let me know.
Maybe this should be moved to the civic section

non adjustable, ok KYB GR-2 and a spring that lowered an inch. You will not be happy with this and even this will run $375-$400...so just do it right and yes, you definately need to research. KYB AGX are about $90 more then GR-2 and a much better shock, so save up the last $150 and do it right. KYB AGX and a spring like H&R Sports
