any one do this? crower stage II w/type s head and valvetrain?
does anyone know the specs of the type s valve train?
or the spece of the type s cams so i could compare them to crower stage 2?
if i use a type s head with crower stage II cams will i be okay as long as i don't rev past 7400?
has anyone done this/know if this will work?
please point me in the right direction,
thanks

it required to go with an upgrade valve train other then stock if you upgrade your cam above stage 1. they recommend that you use an upgraded valve train for stage 1 already, but with a stage 2 it require for an upgraded valvetrain.
haven't done it but, i have a jdm 22 and it makes power till 7600, and only drops off 5hp all the way up to 8k, where I take it almost every time I get on it.

the type s is an upgraded valve train cause it has to handle the type s cams.
so will it still work with stage II cams since it supports the type s cams?
does anyone know if the type s head is ported more than the US ones, i read it somewhere but i wasn't sure if it was true.

Type S head is somewhat different than the JDM or USDM head for that matter... The main issue you would be running into with doing cams is valve angles...
bump any other suggestions?
i think this will work but in the end am i just hurting myself because i won't be able to rev higher and get that extra power if i were to use the crower valvetrain?
any other ideas about using a type s head?

yeah i think you should go with the upgraded valvetrain so you can rev it all the way out, if not im sure you can go stage 2 cams with stock valvetrain but if you miss a shift, you're done.

Since the spec of the Type s cams and Stage 1 cams are similar I would think that the difference between stock valve train USDM/JDM and the type s valve train wouldn't be too big to accomidate the difference in lift/duration since a stock valve train (USDM/JDM) can accept a stage 1 cam set without having to upgrade valves/springs/retainers.
