Default Aftermarket airboxes

I would like to know what kind of insert I can use to accomodate my ITR box. Im a little skeptical on the AEM CAI idea because of the sound levels.

I once saw a post around here where somebody used an Akimoto type filter and removed the top portion of airbox. If you got a pic and source, please let me know.

I saw somebody use a stock airbox with an Akimoto cylindrical filter in the bottom half of the box. Anybody have any information on this?
