Default My b20b arrived for my DA, have some questions... (pics)

Guys take a look at the pics and tell me which b20 this is. Is it the one they claim it to be on the auction? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...%3AIT

Also does this thing have an automatic transmission mated to it(didn't realize it was comming with it)? I know the transmission is useless either way but if it is auto what all do I have to do to make this motor work with my ls transmission?

Now i'm pretty sure the intake manifold(that thing is huuge!), exhaust manifold, and distributor will all have to be changed to work with my 92 integra correct since this motor is OBD II?

Any comments or concerns please post; I want to make sure everything seems ok with it before I go in the process of putting this in my car.

Injectors don't forget to switch them and there may be a crank pos sensor you won't need that.

you can reuse everything from your b18a. it will be a direct bolt in. you can reuse all motor mounts, brackets, etc. exhaust manifold, intake manifold. basically its just an LS block and head with a bigger bore all other dimensions are pretty much equal.
you won't need to change any of the small sensors like intake air temp sensor, coolant temp sensor, etc. those are universal between obd0-obd2, you may need to change the alternator to your obd0 one because the plugs won't match up but if you have the obd2 plug then you can hardwire it jus do a search on"obd0 AND alternator" you will find out. the axles, shift linkages will work, basically what I said earlier, everything will swap over.

sure is an automatic tranny on it. you can sell it for a little cash.

Ok now will my LS tranny bolt up directly to the motor or is there something I have to change out since this one has an auto tranny?

Gearbox will be no problem provided the blocks are the same.

You just need to swap over the flywheel from the b18 because the torque converter for the auto box is bolted to what is essentially a round plate with a ring-gear as opposed to a flywheel.

To remove the auto box you have to take the torque converter bolts out...to do this you take off the steel plate on the bottom of the box beside the sump and turn the engine until you see the bolts, pretty simple really!

Hope this helps, good luck

When I got my obd2 engine, I needed to change ...

Injectors, alternator, and the distributor.
The intake manifold would of been a good idea too, because the evap is located in a dif spot.
But for your im, you Have too, since the crv im is so high.

Also, that small bracket going from the block to the tranny, bolted over the inspection cover, you need to reuse your old one cause the crv has an auto tranny on it.

quick question... when running a b20 in a DA, do you just have to chip your ecu and tune for the 2.0?

wont the PR4 run extremely lean under wot? considering torque is proportional to fuel useage, the extra torque in the midrange will require a lot more fuel wont it?
