my question is will type R rear seats fit in a 1990 hatch cause i know that they will in the 92 and ups im about to buy one and want to know if they will fit

 

yes they will fit, just some modifications to the rails will be required (very simple) redrilling/enlarging the holes....

Your thinking of the front seats. As far as the Back R's fitting in the back of EF hatch, try it and find out.

 

Based on my experience of removing both, they LOOK like they should fit .... but that doesn't mean they will. They DO fit in '92-'95 Civics, so if the '92-'95 stuff fits in the EF's, then it should work.

 

90' civic hatch's cant use any other seats unless you use harness's or something cuz the part that the seatbelt goes into is attached to the seat and not the floor of the car...

 

I don't know why everyone on here keeps talking about the front seats when you only asked about the rears. But to answer your question the upper folddown portions will fit without a problem, the bottom rear piece can be modded to fit but you will have like a 2 1/2 - 3 inch gap on each side which is ugly, but you can probably get a 90-91 si bottom piece that will basically match it in color and will look better.

 

i thought only the bottom cushions from a 4dr will fit in a hatch and since there aren't 4dr type Rs...

and ian: you're thinking of 88-91 sedans and 90-93 integras...no?
