well i just swapped a b20z2 into my ej8*i know its the integra section* it has an LS tranny..i get this wierd noise from under the hood im almost positive its the tranny because if i put the clutch in the noise seems to nearly go away.
Its a noticeable noise and the tranny has had problems in the past (whining) im just wondering if its the engine or more likely the tranny...any help would be greatly appreciated.

yea i have the same problem like a clattering noise. it goes away after i press the clutch.i think i need a new one maybe check the oil in the trans

 

Probably a bad bearing in the transmission, and who knows what else. Transmissions that have bad bearings area also likely to have other problems as well (popping out of gears, grinding, not going into gears, etc.).

A clutch release bearing might be a small possibility, but not likely.

 

ok, i was told it could be the mainshaft...its getting worse and worse quick...

 

had the same problem in my b18a cr-x...never figured out what it was

still have the problem? i dont think my tranny is gona last much longer lol...
