Default Alarm issue after install

well I finished my alarm install (compustar basic with remote start), programmed the remote and everything looks fine. The problem is when the alarm is disarmed it beeps once every 30 or so seconds and after a few beeps the alarm goes off. It works fine when it is armed and I can use valet mode instead of just disarming it, but its not supposed to do this. Anyone have any ideas? TIA -kyle

It sounds like its going into rearm mode, like it is programed for passive arming and the chirps are warning you that it is going to arm, but why its going off I am not sure.

What model Compustar is it?
What car is it in? 94

Thats what I thought but I turned off passive arming and it didn't help. Its a 94 Integra RS and the model is R500A I think (that might be just the remote) . It isn't remote start actually, It works great except for that part. I don't think I messed the installation up, I think it is a programming issue. I did it in the middle of a dashboard swap so most of everything is impossible to reach ha ha

Sounds like the triggers are messed up or one of the wires aren't hooked up correctly (the alarm will act strange like that if so). Make sure you got the +/- on the parking lights, door triggers, and dome lights correct.

I have found a CM1000A that uses the R500 1way remote.......
http://www.staub.ca/tech/Manua...l.pdf is this it? It looks the same as the guide for the R500A remote, but is under CM1000A installation/user guide at ..... http://www.staub.ca/tech/manuals.html 94
