Im in the West covina area in So Cal and I just purchased a 98 gsr. Seems like it a hot item with theifs. Is there any respectable shop that does good work installing kill switches in So Cal that any h-t members would recoment? And how much would they charge for parts/ labor?
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance
Guy....do a quick search for kill switch if you dont want to click on the sticky thread in this forum...and do it your self. That way you can put the switch wherever you want without no one knowing. You can't trust anyone these days..especially not a shop. If you are handy at DIY stuff it should take you no more than a half hour if not sacrifice a couple hours of your weekend day and read up how to do it yourself. It will work out better in the long run.

hey you can hit me. You can come to my shop or my house, lol, Let me know what kind of kill switch do you want. I have diffrent packages. A kill switch is more effictive if you have a alarm. But it helps out anyway. I don't like doing the mobile thing on kill switches. And vouches on here on my work. Call me if you need help.

out there, most shops are run and staffed by honest people doing a job. But maybe it's an American thing, mistrust everybody, how sad.
SOHC SOLDIER look up wrx-killer-Sti eater I can't really vouch for him, [haven't seen his work] but I have never seen anybody complain on here about him either, and you know where to find him if you go to his house or shop.

Yeah unfortunately here in the US you can't trust any shop except the national retailers to an extent, and they don't do custom work.

Here the Best Buys and Future Shops and the rest of the big chain stores, pay their installers crummy wages so they go through a lot of installers, so you don't get the kind of loyalty and work pride or even experience that you would in a smaller shop where the installer has been there for 5-10 years.
But like anything, if you shop around, you should be able to find someone that can be trusted to do the job right, and like any good consumer, ask what you are going to get for you money and then check and make sure you did.
