there are lots of H22 builders on this site. i would do a search first. and don't listen to morons who tell you that you can't run what your goal is. im sure you can do a nice combo with the stock block if your have a time limit and a budget.
i think you can do it without much work, there is some good reliable set ups in here.. and now with Mahle comming out wiht pistons that will work in the FMR sleeves youll be saving alot of $$.. I think Mahle makes a 11.5:1CR piston.
Nothing beats the torque of the H22s.
Good luck
BTW.. we used a h22 in our race car, was stock bottom end, stock pistons just some crower cams and a few other small bolt ons... and we went 11.80s butthat was in a 2000lb race car.

scott byers, a local shop owner (in tucson az) has a 12 second all motor accord with an h22 so it sounds very possible in a hatch with a little less money then he spent. good luck bro i wanna hear bout ur progress
Yeah its possible just look around there are a few pepes on here with simple setups that are pretty quick. Check out Skunked's setup he does 12.2 in a integra with a basickly stock motor.
Easily done. Get a type s long block, upgrade the cams. h2b plate adapter, jdm itr tranny, Good I/H/E. Bigger tb maybe a 74 mm and good intake manifold. valve train w/ flat valves. Tune the baby, and lighten the chassis alittle. Good suspension. I think your there IMO. 7k but i think worth it.

That sounds about right. Personally, I wouldn't bother with the Type S longblock though. You can end up with beefier parts for about the same cost if you get a blown H22 and build it from the bottom up. That's just me though.

i'd say a good healthy stock h22 with H2B, good headers, 2000lbs or so and good driver should do 11's.
our old setup NA H22 made 187whp and ran 12.8's...but more consistant at 12.9's
car was 2200lbs with driver.
