Default carb to fuel injected?

i have a 1986 EF hatch and i am completely have no ideal where to start. the car hard orginally a 1.3 carb i belive, but before i bought it the owner put in a 1.6 carb and didn't finish everything. my plans where to buy something fuel injected such as some like D15b? and go from obd0 to ob1 but then i remenber its also goin from carb to injected. any info will be appreciated. i also considered of selling the shell and buyin a fuel injected crx or something along that lines. thanks

Don't know much about 3rd gens. But an 86 isn't an EF. Not really sure what the chassis code is. Goodluck w/ your project. Try redpepperracing.com! They're all about 1st generation CRXs and 3rd gen Civics.

you can do it, you will need some parts from a 85-86 si civic or crx and a little knowlage and alot of work but very possable. I would look for a complete rusted/crashed si to rape for parts

Switching to some Weber sidedrafts would be easier and probably cheaper than a fuel inj conversion. You'd get the performance increase you're looking for.

There are a few guys over at Redpepper that have done the fuel injection conversion, if you're dead set on that.

well of course you will need a new motor, ecu, harness, fuel injected fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel lines, and there might be some other stuff that i cant think of.

if i were you i would heed everyone's advice and sell that car and buy one that came stock with mpfi.
