Default H22a swap problems..some one help!!!

i have a 91 accord with a 95 or 96 dohc jdm h22 and i have a few problems.

1. when i start the car i notice that i am idling real low(100 to250) as if the car wants to shut off.some times if i leave it running eventually it will shut off. how can i fix this problem.

2. when the swap was done i was told that i need an oil change, havent done it yet but will tomorrow,i dont know if this might be the reason why my vtech is not kicking in,because the oil is bad and might be causing some issues.is my theory right?

3 since i have an accord and the motor is a 95,96jdm h22a. when should i expect the vtech to kick in,because i know the rpm gage is made for the f22 not the h22a.

DID YOU WIRE UP THE VTEC? ARE YOU USING THE P13 ECU?

The tach should read correctly regardless, and the VTEC should kick-in around 5200. (correct me if I'm wrong guys) What ECU are you using?

the vtec is operated by oil pressure i believe so a low oil level possibly could cause your vtec problem...however, not likely i think.... did you get it wired up correctly when you did the swap? MIL codes would be a big help....

Have you driven the car yet ? vtec wont come on until engine reaches around 150 degress and it wount kick on just setting there revving it up (unless theres been ecu work) your idle problem could a fuel problem, vacum, or the idle screw on the TB could need to be turned up i had to turn mine up just a tad to get mine to idle right. hope this helps.
