i had a b20 vtec in my crx, and loved it. it had great low end tourque.

Search for CRVtec or B20 VTEC. That is the common name for it. It's basically a 2.0 liter LS/VTEC setup. Some like it, some don't.

personally i would go b20 with b16 head great pull from bottom end and really decent top end
