I just aquired an accord, and i was woundering what kind of systems people are runnin in them. and also does anyone now how much of a hassle it is to replace alternators? becuase with my other cars there was alot more room in under the hood. the system thats goin from my old car to the accord will suck way to much juice compared to what it can put out.

 

accord alternators are easy to service, right on the front of the motor towards the top...

I don't have a slammin' system or anything. Pioneer head unit, Kenwood 6.5" and 6X9" speakers all around, 10-disc changer. '91 Accord EX coupe.

 

capacitor, 4 guage wiring, yellow top optima battery is enough to push my 2000w amp with no problems. 2001 accord

 

hmm i got one JL W7 with 1200 MTX amp.

Headunit--> Pioneer DEH-3300
Speakers--> Pioneer 6 1/2's and 6 x 9's, stock tweeters
Sub--> JL 10W3D4V2 wired @ 8 ohms in a Q-Logic box
Amp--> Nitro 1000 watt 2 channel

The amps cheap but pushed the 12W7 I had pretty damn good. My system is set up to add JUUUUUUUST a touch of bass to make evrythinn sound awesome.
One of the best souding overall setups I've ever had (which isn't a whole lot, aside from the W7, but that was wayy too much).

Ive got a Panasonic head unit.My Pioneer was stolen.2 mtx speaker in the door.don't remember what size they were but I had to take the first set i bought back and exchange them for smaller onesMTX 6x9s in the rear deck.An Orion 6channel Amp and a Orion 12'sub in the back in a Q-logic box.

My system isn't overpowering but it sounds really good I get compliments all the time.Nothing rattles.

2 12" diamond d3's pushed by a diamond d3 amp. Rattles my mirrors down.

I have to turn it down after about 20 minutes or i get a massive headache. I also have 2 alpine r's but i don't use them.

 

Eclipse 5504 head unit, Precision Power EQP wit Ipod hooked to auxiliary input, MB Quart 6.5'' reference series coax with Music-comp crossovers, JL Audio 300/4, JL Audio 13.5" W1 Sub in ported enclosure.

By far the best setup I have ever had in my Accord. It matches the acoustics of the car very nicely. It will hit extremely hard if you want it to, which I hardly ever do. I never have the sub turned up more than halfway, but it is there if I want it. I built this system for clarity more than anything.

Umm... do you mean 6.5's? Or did you do custom paneling to add 6x9's in the door? Even if I could do it, I sure wouldn't want 6x9's all the way around.

Well i have two 10 inch rockford fosgate punches with 300 watts goin on thru both of the. what year is yours? mine is a 92' and that thing hits hard! im goin to push more watts once i get the money for the new amp. but yeah you should be ok with any system.

it sounds pretty good, the memphis speakers have really good clarity, although i think i might switch to one good 12" to save trunk space

 

I only use one "12 and I'm really happy with my system.The Q logic box was worth it.*L* the sub is a orion 12 that I bought for like 20 bucks at HH gregg.It sounds good.
