Type-R running too cool?
I don't have a Type R motor, but my LS or any other Honda/Acura I've been in the needle is usually below the middle. I think you're fine.

Why are you suggesting that he change parts when there is nothing wrong?

Agreed, you temperatures Sound normal to me.
You will know when you are running too Cool. Temp guage will only get to first tick mark or 1/8th across the temp guage and you most likely will throw a CEL because the secondary (heated) 02 sensor isn't getting hot enough.

Running cold is never making it to the first hash line on the temperature gauge. Thats what my R did and i replaced the thermostat and now im back to normal (about 3/4 the way to the middle line). I think ure fine.
lol...with the Spoon thermostat, C&R full length radiator and SPAL fan my needle never goes far enough to uncover the "C" line (shows ~120* F on the AutoMeter gauge) while cruising.
