HKS Titanium Carbon Fiber Turbo Exhaust on DC2
OK, I've fallen in love with this exhaust but I have a problem or two... Number one, they don't make one for the Integra according to the website. Number two, I don't see an axle back or muffler only version available.

Does anyone know if it is possible to only buy the muffler and if it is available with a 3" inlet pipe?
Thanks you!

PS- Does anyone currently have this exhaust?

I have a question about your exauhst, what kind of sound does the HKS make. I am looking for a deep throaty sound, not high pitched one, junt wondering if this would be a good choice
I don't have the HKS.... yet. I have the GReddy SP on my baby right now, but I'm pretty sure it's sold. I was going to go with a Thermal R&D, but after seeing this one, I think I've fallen in love all over again.
Does anyone know if they can help me on this exhaust? Or if there is another very similar exhaust available? I don't want an obvious knock-off, but an N1 is my alternative.

I gotta know, is that casing really made of CF, or is it just a metal canister w/ some CF wrapped around it? If so, then what's the point?
You could just get an N1, either bolt-on or universal.

I believe it is titanium wrapped in CF. I just love the looks of it... especially the tip... Still waiting to hear if anyone has one.

haha its not rice... if you noticed the applications its made for, they are high power cars like RX-7's and WRX's and Supra's... (at least for the Ti mufflers)
I am betting the CF is an actual shell and not just wrapped. (that'd just be more weight) And if you want flames out the back just get one of those lil burners that buffet's use to keep the food hot and light one up. Strap it in the muffler and VIOLA! Either that or you can get the LED mufflers for the "flame look"

It's definatly a high quality exhaust meant for high power applications. i'm heading in a race direction and need it to be daily driven so i think this exhaust will be appropriate size for my turbo setup. as for the flames, i could have shot flames through the GReddy if I really wanted, lol. That would be real nice if the canister was actually cf. I'm gonna try to find some time to call HKS tomorrow and find out whats up with a universal application. thanks
heheh, I know I was just saying.. The welds on it look great - it looks like a quality exhaust. I'm sure it's in the $1000+ range. ..Just looked like it could shoot some "Mario Bros. style" fireballs with it's CF covered self.
haha, well according to the HKS site the full cat-back for an eclipse is waaaay expensive.. don't remember how much, but check out my link in the original post if you want to **** your pants over the price.

honestly i would probably get the Ti cat back from Veilside "Tear Drop" design. about $1000 for a full Ti cat back. http://www.veilside.com for more info.
They don't make one for the DC2... or anything with a 3" inlet except for the supra and.... i forget.. but i like the look of the HKS a lot more. I especially love the Ti "burned" tip.
"Special Edition HKS Carbon / Titanium Hi-Power Exhaust systems are available for certain popular applications. These exclusive versions of the Hi-Power Exhaust consist of a carbon fiber wrapped stainless muffler shell, a 120mm titanium tip, and polished stainless steel piping."

How does it sound?
And who is ARJ? Website? Thank you!
I've considered going with HKS's universal titanium muffler, but it's mighty expensive just to have that nice lookin tip and light weight.

AJR = A&J Racing ( http://www.aj-racing.com )
They make (well, they contract someone to make) the Type1 exhausts and b-pipes. It's their brand. they have a stainless muffler/titanium tip axle-back and a ti muffler/ti tip axle-back (but that ones more expensive). Piping on both is stainless. http://www.ipsracing.com and http://www.randdmotorsports.com also carry the Type1 brand as they're AJR's US distributors. Contact any of them to get pricing and stuff. It's not wrapped in CF tho. HTH. Take pics if you get it.

My friend has this exhaust on his 02 WRX. It is the best sounding exhaust I've heard in my opinion. Not loud at all. Of course this is a different engine altogether. The boxer engine has a bubbly sound with this exhaust. Under high throttle, it's almost not that noticeable. At idle it sounds sweet.
