iight any cylinder thats more than 20 psi different than the other three is somethingn to worry about that means something is going bad...

it could be a number of things but you shoulds get it checked out because if you got 200 in 3 and 175 in another thats too low....

in the cylinder that only had 175 how many times did you crank it... did you put some oil in the cyl to see if the compression goes up (thats how you check if its a ring to answer your origional question)

you can also use a vaccum guage to see if its a bent valve if the oil in the cyl does not bump the compression...

are you using any forced induction or nitrous???

no nitrous or turbo and i cranked it 5 times on each cylinder btw the b16 is stock and i was using a no rev limited ecu at the time and i over revved it on a missed shift prob brought it up to about 11 its been shutting off on me lately during driving like when i come to dead stops

thats why im against ecu's with no rev limit... if you are gona do that at least have some other sort of ignition cut off for a govenor EXPECIALY on a stock motor there is no reason to have no revlimit... its insurance that woulda helped you out alot for less money than rebuilding a b16

you could have done so many things if you reved it that high, does it smoke or is there oil in the antifreeze???

i didnt blow the headgasket or nothing like that cuz theres antifreeze in the oil i dont hear nothing hitting nothing i dunno man ***** been pissing me off though but do you think that 25 lbs in difference in the compression could be why the motor will shut off on me sometimes?
