tranny and clutch... what kind ???
i have a 98 gsr ... i need to buy a clutch and while im doing that im thinking about just getting a lsd... so anyways... i dont really drag... highways are always fun and i love the track... so anyways if you guys were me what kind of clutch would u guys get ??? i like the exedy stage 1 but i hear act is good too so just wanted to ask and also if you guys had a gsr ... would u guys rather put an lsd on there or... buy a 98+ type r trans... i keep hearing differnt stuff so lmk... what would be better me... benefits and the loss... please help me out.. thanks..
thier aint that much gain over a stock gsr to a typ-r exept for the lsd. so unless u can get a newer typ-r trans just buy yourself a quaif. why a quaif & why spend more $$ than that piece of metal you stick in the diff cause "they dont last" ive seen to many peepz tear diffs up with them. i have had a quaif for over 2 years & that **** if tight. ( & if u like track racing u are in for a big suprise when it comes to control & handling. when i enter the freeway i can hit the juice at 100mph & make that 90deg turn like it was nothing. its crazy the diffence u get. did i aslo say u get a lifetime warranty!!!!
aso for a clutch i cant say anything cause im running a stage 2 clutch masters & luv it . but for track racing dont go over stage 1 on any clutch unless u are making over 240hp to the wheels .
good luck

if you are looking at tracking it id go with exedy because ive heard bad things regarding act and their extreme pressure plate. get exedy, toda fly and get itr lsd but get the jdm 4.7 final drive good for track on the highway you wont be in such a high rpm if u had a itr trans
