Default passeger headlight problem

don't worry I have searched, ok well the other day I notice while driving home from work at night, my passeger and the driver side's high beams are half way on. The passeger low beam and half way on too but the driver side's low beam is on and the high beam is on half way. Is there a wireing problem or something? help please thanks,...

ok very confusing. 1st off did u install jdm headlights or are they oem? if you installed jdm ones it sounds like you connected some wires wrong. if there oem i would check the bulbs and make sure there all good and check the wires for cuts only advice i can give for now your issue was very confusing.

Hi all, First post....

If your lighting is all still factory, your problem may be in the factory alarm harness area. This happened to me last week while installing my aftermarket alarm. There is a 4 pin brown relay plug/harness under the drivers side dash, above the fuse box. This plug would hold a relay that flashes your headlights when your factory alarm is set off. The wiring will be there even if you do not have a factory alarm. I had clipped a wire from this harness and never connected it back up. Dont quote me on this but i think it was a red/yellow wire. Anyway, had the same EXACT problem as you. Connected the wire back up the next day and all was well. If everything seems ok under the dash, take a look at the under hood fuse box. Make sure your "lighting" relay is OK

Hope this helps -Joe

yep, there is actually two of these red/yellow wires both going to the same terminal on the relay plug. They are Joined together there. I was suprised it was that easy of a fix. I lost some sleep over it because I thought it would be a huge wiring issue like possable melting/overheating. Same EXACT symptoms. The problem was hard to notice at first because of the one headlight/highbeam being HALF way on. When I turned my brights on, the low and high beam completely went out. Best of luck Korney, post back on how it went, maybe some more details could steer us in the right direction
