Default Euro-R Throttle Body/IM vacuum lines...*Pics*

I got a Euro-R H22 put into my prelude and the guy did some ghetto stuff with the vacuum lines. There were a few nipples with no lines attached to them at all and one line had a screw in it to block it off....Anyway, i'm trying to figure out where all these lines should go so any help is appreciated.

First of all, is this even a Euro-R throttle body? If you can tell from these markings...

are these lines going in the right places?

Where should this be connected to?

And this is the line that just had a screw stuck in it to plug it up and the nipple on the back of the IM wasn't connected to anything. Is this right?

After connecting all the hoses as shown my car idles a lot better than it did when i first got it back. It was very low and lumpy before and now it idles a lot smoother but really high at about 1500 rpms. The high idle could very well possibly be because of whatever massive vacuum leak i have. I hear a constant MASSIVE vaccum leak. I'm taking it back to him soon for him to fix the vacuum leak and im hoping that will lower the idle.

Try the Faq's, there is a vacuum digram in there. The one under your tb is for a coolant hose. Have your mechanic do a vacuum test on your engine, should be getting 18-22 hg's at idle.

The EuroR TB has no idle screw so that is a hint if you do or do not have a real EuroR TB.

Also, if i recall right the ID of the tb was 66mm on the EuroR TB

that center vacuum line the big one, i think goes to your EVAP canister

that bottom rusty connector is your fast idle control, there should be 2 lines, one in one out, one goes into IAC, theother to your thermostat housing

is your idle pretty messed up?

hey someone had this on another thread in the Prelude forum

If thats a Euro R manifold where is the IACV? It should be on the back right next to the TB. Your doesn't seem to have it there. Could you take more pics of the whole manifold?

There are no drivability problems. It runs really good, just the vacuum problems/leaks. The Idle is fine except it idles at 1500 but that is probably because of whatever vacuum leak I have. And to the question about the IAC....wtf...I didn't even notice that. There is a plate blocking off where the IAC should be on the back. You can see it if you look closely at the 4th pic. Any info on that would be appreciated as well. I didn't know you could just delete the IAC...

That adapter plate is required and they should have drilled two holes in the center of it for the ports.

Yeah, but they didn't, and there is just no IAC at all. What are the negative affects of not having an IAC? Just a funny idle or what? Either way, i'm gonna get the IAC put on the right way...

Well since you don't have a IACV thats why it idles at 1500, put it where it is suppose to go and see if that doesn't correct your problem.

Yeah, im gonna. But it seems to me that the idle would probably drop to where its supposed to be once i fix the vacuum leak. I hear a constant, loud "SHHHHHHH" coming from maybe somewhere under the intake manifold or something. Anyway, it's loud enough that it sounds like a pretty big leak and would probly lower the idle when i fix that.

there is a vacuum line on the euroR intake manifold coming from under the right (passenger side) side that is suppose to connect to the IAC. If you put your hand under there you should feel it, just look at where the thermostat housing is and move your hand over towards the drivers side and you should feel the vaccum connector sticking out. It'll either be just bare or else you'll feel a vacuum line attached to it connected to nothing, not sure if he plugged it off during your swap or what? cause it is suppose to be attached to the IAC, not sure what' it's attached to now? nothing? maybe a bolt or screw plugging it? check it out let us know how it goes

I couldn't find a nipple on the back of the intake manifold other than the one that is connected in the last pic. The only nipple i found was on the back side bottom of the throttle body...

I found out that the throttle body isn't a Euro-R one. I dunno what it is though, all i know is it's way to small for my Euro-R IM. Now i need a new throttle body...

yes the IAC is on the front of a stock usdm intake manifold. the IAC on the EuroR intake however is located on the back of the manifold, next to the TB.
