Default reliability of h22 accords

I'm thinking about getting an accord with an h22 swapped in but I want to know how reliable they are. Is it pretty much the same reliability as if it was the stock engine?

no. Well, it could be just as reliable. But when you do have a problem, it's harder to find out what's causing it.

I guess it could be a question of how reliable the person is who did the swap.

Otherwise, I don't see why the H22 shouldn't be just as reliable as the F22.

The way you drive your car will have a direct impact on how reliable it is. Considering that they are all honda parts they should have the same reliability as long as they are used in the mannor they were meant.

The H22 has no better and no worst a durability record than any other Honda Engines. Which means, all things considered, it will still bite you if you abuse it.
Some circles will argue with me on this, but the H22 doesn't lend itself to Turbo as easily as it's F22 cousins because of it's higher Compression, and more radical cams. But naturally aspired it runs.........well.

Your experience will be based more on the original condition of the motor at the time of install, how it was driven since and what maintaince is due.

Ask for records of maintenance done. ex - was water pump and t-belt changed when swapped, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, etc......Someone who has swapped an H22 into an Accord should be able to provide proof (i.e.receipts) of work done.

you got it right on the spot^

any car, with any swap is as reliable as you make it to be. If you do a half-*** job, then the car will act like a half-*** good car, lol.get my drift tho?
