transmission swap
how hard is a tranny swap in a 94 prelude s? i have another tranny, but my dad wants me to pay someone to put it in. im trying to save money. im pretty sure it woulnt be that hard any imput?
its not easy for a first project, so unless you are very comfortable with taking a major part of your car off don't try it. it was my first major project, and it took me like 4 days from start to finish with 2 extra guys, and 2 jacks. the longest/hardest part is getting the tranny back in and aligning the clutch and input shaft. it will help if you have a couple jacks and a few extra people to help. find a good manual or walkthrough, and be ready to not have a car for a while. and make sure you will have money to buy any parts you break or need to replace, and time to wait for the parts to be delivered. it is a good learning experience though, and you will have fun if you attempt the swap at home.
