Default steering problem

Hey all i have a question, whenever i made a turn, either way it doesnt matter, there is kind of like a growl sound that comes from the steering wheel or colum or somewhere im not real sure, other than the noise, i have no problems with steering, i didnt know if it was the steering rack or what, just seeing if anyone else has had this problem thanks.

Also i cant really describe the sound all that great, thats probably what it sounds most like

Default Re: steering problem (cbp_crx)

does the steering feel positive and normal, or is it notchy or jumpy , like it is slipping. i broke the u-joint (stripped the teeth) and it growled and slipped before it finally let go (that was fun...). if that is the case get it taken apart and figure it out. no steering when you aren't ready for it can be really hairy.

but i don't know anyone else who has had that problem and i would assume yours is simply a steering wheel plate in need of some grease. i think mine just had a few too many miles going slow on 225 hoosiers.
