Default POWER FROM THE H

I just got my h22 Type S then my tranny crapped out. Just got the f22 tranny. Plan on going the nitrous route. 55-75 shot, right now i have intake, header back exhaust I also plan on getting vafc because I am told w/ the f22's taller gears I will fall out of VTEC between gears for about 400 RPMS so the vafc would really help there and to fine tune the nitrous and bolt ons right? also anyone know about the f22 trannies, some say crap others good.heard torque from h eats up the f tranny but the torque curves aren't that far off. just looking for some help and opinions

Yes, the F22 gears are longer, but that does not mean lowering the VTEC engagement point will fix that. The rpm you set the VTEC engagement at must be tuned to figure out where to set it. You can't just haphazardly set it wherever you want.

You really want to stay with the gearing of the VTEC tranny. I have a few for sale if you like.

i doubt the f tranny is any less able to handle tq than the h series one....but that gearing sucks

even with nitrous it will still be laggy, pick up an m2f4,a4,or b4 from 2point6 and it will be a good bit quicker
