dizzy coild keeps blowing up. electrical gurus needed!!!
well this is the 4th dizzy i have gone thru. ok ill list the **** i have done to try and stop this mess. first off i was drivin down the road and my car just dies. im like wtf. the car is new to me so i have no clue what is goin on. i imediatly open my hood and spray some staring fluid in the intake. nuthin. check for spark. try to start and i have no spark. so i open my dizzy and everything is covered in a white powder. i look at the dizzy and it is completly fried. i can also see that the lil prong on the dizzy cap is broke off and sittin in the coil. anyways so i put a new coil in it and new cap. it runs for about 2 weeks and the same **** happens again. so im like wtf. so i repace the coil again, different brand this time (new coil, plugs, wires, cap, and rotor). starts up fine. runs good for a month. same **** happens again. now im gettin pissed lmao. so i buy a completly new dizzy and put a differnet pm6 in my car. ran perfect for like 2 months then guess what happened. same ****. coil blew. im not reall good with wiring **** so if any1 has any info on this particular subject, it would b really appreciated because i dont wanna blow my new obd1 dizzy on my new d15b setup. ok guys thx lmk what u think

i seem to remember something about white powder being more from the bearing in the distributor itself. have you replaced the whole distributor or just the coil several times? im just throwing out ideas. i hate wiring problems.
