crx and ef engines?

are they the same and what is the diff.

I think you may be a bit confused with the terminology. But USDM 88-91 CRX's and Civic's came with either a D15B1, D15B2, or D16A6 motor. All were SOHC non-vtec motors.

EF is the label on the vin # of the japanese spec 88-91 civic and crx..In america they are ED's and in europe they are EE's..

So asking "whats the difference between crx and ef motors". doesnt make any sense..

That's like asking "whats the difference between a honda and a civic"
