thats only 15 miles to the gallon i get almost that good in my truck and its a 68 with 178,000 miles on it, I drive an integra regulary ive never checked in town milage but i get 30 miles to the gallon on the hiway and i rarly go below 80 miles an hour.
Try shifting at 2500-3000 instead of 7000, and check your pugs and air filter. I drive 95% of my driving is on the highway and if I dont get on it to hard I get about 330 to a tank on the highway, not sure about city, like I said I am never in the city. And damn your gas is expensive I get 93 for $2.43

i just change my plugs/wires/distributor, and i dont shift at 7000 but i shift at like 3500 sometimes... yea gas in ny is expensive nowadays... u think i should replace the fuel filter? maybe clogged up? the car got 160k

first step: put in a full tank of gas, and hit your trip meter.
2nd: drive x amount of miles.
3rd: fill up with y gallons of gas (full tank again!).
4th. how many times does y go into x? thats your MPG
after you have figured out your MPG the correct way, come back and ask your question.

for my civic dx i just got recently 293 miles on 9.25 gallons of regular.....and that was mostly local and very littly highway. so i averaged around a lil over 31 per mile....so urs isnt that good read up on ways to get better gas mileage. shift points, tire pressure etc etc
I have a 94 4 door integra gsr with 150.700 on it and the best I did without hitting vtec ever was 320 out of 11.5 gallons. Now I usually rev it up everday and accelerate hard, so with that i normaly get about 250-280 out of 11 gallons. Im going to have to try not hitting vtec next time I fill up and accelerating slowly and see how I do with that. I drive in a mixture of city and highway.

I usually get 240-260 miles per 9.5 Gallons, so I am thinking GS-Rs are thirstier than an LS. It would make since given the differences in the gear ratios/power-band. An LS has more available torque at cruising speed and doesn't have to work as hard to accelerate as the GS-R. I don't drive the nicest, so I am happy when I get 26-28mpg. On the highway, if I drive around 78mph I get a little over 30mpg. The absolute best that I got was 33.4mpg for the tank. All I can say is VTEC is thirsty. By the way, I filled up last night 91 octane, $2.87/gallon, CA sucks.
Yeah, I have changed my filter, spark plugs, wires, and fuel filter. The fuel filter helped a lot. I just filled up my tire to optemum level so that should help also. I have I/H/E so that might lower the MPG some also.
I have I/H/E also. Tire pressure is a big factor, I always keep up on my tire pressure. I need a tune up. Last night I got 24.81mpg when I filled up, and that was driving 80% highway. Did the fuel filter really help out?
i get usually 28-31 mpg and i usually fill 11 gallons worth. you do the math on how many miles i get on a tank and my 4 door spanks your car on mileage... and that's with a higher output engine... $2.37/gallon here in kansas city, MO... we usually are about 30-40 cents lower compared to california, but that's because QT has a monopoly going on over here and they're undercutting everybody. when they didn't after hurricane katrina, we were close to CA's prices!

first off if you care about gas mileage take note of the AMOUNT of gallons and the Mileage. Price means nothing as it's a byproduct from the actual amount of gas you put in your car.
254 miles on $20 means nothing to most people. Gas prices vary. Some people fill up after 7 gallons, some people fill up after 10 gallons. what you're after is the actual amount of GAS, not money, you're putting in your car.
Fill your tank ("however many $$$"), reset your trip odometer. When you have to fill up next time, note the mileage. # of miles traveled / gallons filled up.......
.....:sigh:.....
you should be getting around 32/24. I average about 29/27 mpg. Adjust your driving style accordingly to achieve whatever gas mileage you want/care about.

You need to go back to school. All the info you need was given in her post.
254miles on $20 of gas @ $2.55 a gallon.
$20/2.55 equals 7.8 gallons
254miles/7.8 gallons equals 32.5 miles per gallon
Sounds damn good to me. Guess you guys hated word problems in school.
Yes, your results would be more accurate using a topped off full tank to start, then drive till almost empty with your tripmeter counting the miles, then fill back up again watching the meter on the pump which will read gallons. Divide your miles on your tripmeter by your gallons and shazzam!!

I think it did because before the fuel filter i got 180 to the tank and now i get upwards of 240 and up, but its going down again. Im not sure if it was my tire pressure cuz my tires were low on air.
Miles on the trip odometer/(DIVIDED BY) gallons at the pump (The number of gallons is above the price of the gas) Is called: MILES PER GALLON!!!!
Just ******* use it.
Just ******* use it.

nah its not boost... i took the turbo off... had it on for a day or 2 and took it off to make some mods and drive the car to get a feel for it... so 32mpg is what ur saying... hmmmm and i was thinking to myself that i was getin bad gas mileage... but at the same time thinking good gas mileage... i guess im doin good gas wise... and on the highway i rarely cruise under 75... speed limits 55
hey i guess im satisfied... not complaining to 20 bucks of gas per day when i put about 200-250 miles perday... i just remember reading somewhere that people were getting 300-400 miles per tank... i said to myself? so then wtf am i doin wrong but its very possible though if its all highway miles... very cool..
