94 GS-R 4 door: Super Sonic Blue or Flat Black
I just got my settlement check from when Coit Carpet Cleaning backed into my integra. My left front fender was destroyed, but nothing else damaged. I ordered a replacement fender, it is the standard metal fender, primer-ed black. I don't want the car to be miss-matched, so I am going to either have the entire car re-sprayed Super Sonic Blue Pearl, or save the money, and paint the car flat black. By the way, my car is NH538 Frost White, and the paint is perfect everywhere except the fender. Another idea is to just have that fender blended white to the rest of the car. Any input is appreciated.
Looks like Super Sonic Blue Pearl is the preferred choice so far. But, flat black could save me a lot of money. Color-matching the fender white is somewhere in the middle.

But I see your point. I think I would be happier with a color.

</TD></TR></TABLE>I like the idea of all of my car being the same color. If I go SSBP the engine bay, and interior, (underneath the panels and carpet) will still be white. I am pretty **** about things matching, but damn that blue looks nice. How would Championship White look?

you could paint it flat black and save money but it would be a serious downgrade, and much more work than just paint matching the fender. No sense in ruining a nice OEM paint job with flat black ghetto paint.
Just have the fender blended into your existing paint and save yourself some money... If you arent going to paint the jambs, engine bay, inside of the car or the trunk then it would be stupid... Keep it white...
Even if you are going to eventually go SSBP why wouldnt you match the fender untill then?
Also rattle caning a prefectly good paint job is stupid. Yes they did it in SCC but it still looked like ****. Lets say you paint it flat black them decide to sell it. If I was going to look at a flat black car my first thoughts would be "so how bad was it wrecked"

well my front bumper, hood, roof, and trunk are primered dark grey, which is pretty close to flat black. I don't like it very much. I did that to get it painted later and my car is two tone now. I can't wait to get it all painted green again with the nice pearl in it. Shine is so nice after a wash sitting in the sun.
just paint the damned fender white. why paint a whole car cause u ruined one fender?? just have some cheapplace spray the fender. make sure they use the right paint and spend your money one something worthwhile. like engine mods, or suspension, or a cage. if that car has good paint, and you dont hate the color, why re-paint it?? it will look stupid with white door jams and engine bay.

Thanks for all of the input. I probably will color match the fender. How much different is Championship White from Frost White? I think it is more Pearl white than my color, is this true? No white Type-R's in my area to compare it to.
