When shaving your bay....
I have explored all options, talked to many people. Including Honda owners, VW owners, and Some Hot Rod' Guys.
Hot Rod Guys, and most VW guys had urged me to avoid any plastic bondo, and every honda owner Ive talked to have used this. Makes me think since us honda guys are the last to get around to this 'style'.. What they suggest was:
Lead Filler Rod (Body Solder) or Metal to Metal Filler.
Seen here :

"Metal To Metal Filler Quart With Hardener
Thia unique product applies like typical plastic fillers, yet is made with fine aluminum particles, which helps make for a stronger repair. Waterproof, so there is little chance of corrosion under the patch areas. Apply right to bare metal to smooth minor ripples in body work. Hardener included. Use Eurosoft Glazing Putty as a final step to fill pinholes and small imperfections before painting."
What it comes down to is, plastic bondo will shrink and expand and will crack. If applied correctly the lead filler rod is most effective, but im told this is not somthing you can pick up and learn. So what leaves me is the metal to metal bondo. As you can tell it applies like bondo, but its material is simiar to the lead filler rod.
Besides informing anyone who may not know, id like to know that when using the metal to metal, how thick do you think this stuff could be applied before your in danger of break down..
