I always read about them, what do they do test you emmision's. and they do this on a Dyno type machine. I have heard all these horror stories and just want to know what exactly is done, and what are the penalties for non-complience

 

Didn't u own a car when FL had emission inspections? They would test for some crap in the exhaust, if it did not pass at idle, they would put it on a small dyno and run the car up to a certain rpm and test again. Fawking sucked, the 79 Ford LTD was hurting and would only pass when my budy working would leave the o2 sensor half way out

Thank god we did not have visual inspecation as I would have failed hard core.

I have been driving for 7 years 4 down here, and 3 up in Detroit.

never once had to go threw anything Like that.

 

That was like 3 or 4 years ago that they stoped doing it. It was once a year, perhaps someone else was doing it for your cars.

fuqin PA damn IT! I have to leave my car there all day...our emissions tests suck! When I was back in Ohio it was in and out in 20 mins or less while they put a tube up to the exhaust to test for fumes. Here it's like they test everything...lights, windshield wipers, horn, emissions, it sucks...and don't even GET me started about the alcohol rules...everything state store. Only from 8-9. I’m sorry for going OT but not one of you can stand up for PA when it comes to these two things...

I agree...the single largest alcohol related retail chain in the world...I work in the industry, so I fully understand..

ha i don't have emissions down heree in berks county. so i have nothing to worry about.
as far as the alcohol laws, yeah they suck. i have to go to different places to buy beer and liquer. i am just glad that i the state store and beer place is with in walking distance of my house. would be better if it was all in one giant store

Yeah thats right! I forgot! AND you have to go to 2 different TYPES of stores to get it. Want Wine...go to the "Wine and Spirits" store. Want Beer...better plan on haulin' your *** to the STATE Beer store. go figure...
