CRX dilemma :(
Soo a crx was posted up in my city and it has 127,000 miles.I checked the carfax and it came back clean the only thing is the car is 4200
.Blue book value on an excellent crx si is 3,000 but im willing to make an exception.I plan on bring the price down of course but i have no idea what it should be.So i printed out the values on the car and im going to bring them with me.The owner said no rust but ill just have to see for myself(where should i check).Cant wait until 11:30am

wow, looks like a CLEAN rex. price is a little steep for me, but i dunno for around where you live..of course try and talk him down...
as far as rust, you want to scan the whole car over, but the most common places are in the rear fender/wheel wells. make sure you pop the hood/hatch as well and look in all the jambs, because if he says its rust free and its not, you could take some more money off...anyways nice find and good luck with getting yourself a nice crx

blue book means nothing on a crx. condition (mainly rust and how stock the car is) and where you live are the only factors.
a stock rust free car in excellent condition in nys is worth that much any day of the week to lots of people.
a rusty bucket isn't worth anything more than maybe the couple hundred bucks in parts that i'll take off of it.
opinins are going to vary on this one since there are so many different types of owners and sellers of ef vintage hondas, but in the end the only ones that really matter are the ones of the highest bidder- usually enthusiasts.
as far as that car goes- look for rust where the first reply said. look under the bra. look for signs of accident damage or any modifications.
cliffs: you might get lucky and find a garage queen from a grandma for 500 bucks someday along the line if you keep an eye out. but if you really want a nice car to start with RIGHT NOW, you're probably going to have to pay for it.

another good thing to do in front of the owner is check that everything works.. since its got an alarm ya never know...electrically mechanically, check everything.. pop the trunk to see if it stays up, the trunk struts is a crx thing they like to take a dump early..check behind the gas door for rust, check for water leaks any sign of wetness near spare tire area or anywhere else.. good luck and so far it looks like a good find just lower the price as much as possible

thats a clean car, yea its worth 3,600-4,200 but damn that much for a crx. I had a black one just like it not nearly as clean but it only cost me 1,200. for that 3k+ price, i'd rather get an gsr integra. think about it logically.
theres crap cars for sale here in WA with dents and everything.Ive been looking for about a month now and this is the cleanest.I dont mind paying the 4200 cuz i think its definetly worth it.Im very happy and cant wait until later today
If you do buy that car please leave it 100% stock..Dont want to ruining it with a bunch of parts..Keep it original and mint..
If you want a car to swap and add performance parts look elsewhere please..Dont ruin this great original car..
