Default What blade to you use in your harbor freight band saw?

I've tried a couple out, and so far the RIGID 14tpi has seemed to work the best, and last the longest. However, it's about 9 bucks a blade.

What do you guys use?

Also interested. Lots spend around $30 bucks for a good blade though, so $9 bucks dont seem to bad?

I bought a bunch of Harbor Freight blades at their "end of the year clearance" sale. They were going for $0.99 each, so I bought like 15 of them, haha. They're 18 TPI and work pretty decent if you keep them lubed and cooled. I've made a gravity-feed resevoir to keep the blade cooled. This way, they last through around 15 sch.10 stainless steel cuts vs. the 1 cut per blade when I didn't have the blade lubed. LOL.

Once I run out of these, I'm going to buy some Morse bimetal blades. I was told by a friend of mine that they work pretty good.

These are the only ones I use in my HF bandsaw:

I have gotten 2 months out of one blade and that is running the saw cutting collectors at least 2 hours a day.

These are the same blades I use. I've cut a lot and never any problems.

I use the blade done by the nearest sharpening shop around her.

cost me like 30 $ canadian

last at least 75 cut in mild steel...
and like 50 in Sch 10 SS.

I use some cuttin oil too, to keep the blade slipping easy.

I use the Ridgid brand from Home Depot. There like $10 each I think, and hold up pretty good. For me, cutting sheetmetal or plate in the vertical position just destroys a blade. I think it is because when using your hands to stabilize the work piece, it is not nearly as sturdy as when it is clamped in the vise. If you use the Ridgid blades in the horizontal position and lube them, theyl work forever.

Do you use coolant, or any form of lube? Those blades seem like they would kick ***. I bet that variable 10-14tpi works pretty good.

Right on. I will definetly have to try them out then. I don't like using coolant or lube. It gets everything way too messy, and hard to clean up.
