D16y8 VS D16a6 not stock.

I bought my first of 3 EFs in june, its just a chassis that has been stored for the last 10 years and that has never seen snow. The goal for the car is a daily driver and a week-end road racing car (events, lapping clubs etc). The suspension has been completely done and its now time for me to think about engines. Since I know you always want more HP, its better to start with low HP and go up than have more HP and wanting even more! It`s also cheaper and easier to learn to drive around the track
Here`s the choices I have:
D16y8 from a 1.6 EL (127 hp 108 lbs ft-tq) with a cable Si tranny
or
D16a6 with brand new ported head (was given to me when I got my car)
Mild cam that I can use with stock valvetrain and without needing too much tuning
D16y8 Intake manifold (already have too)
I already have the d16y8 but I was keeping it for my drag car. So all I would need to build this setup is MPFI wiring, distributor, ECU and?
I`ll be having both engines, I`m just wondering which one should go in my daily driver (obviously the more powerfull one, the drag car is just for fun) and which one will be the most fun to drive.
I also have to let you in on a little secret, I love intake sounds. I was wondering which one would be the loudest? the stock d16y8 because of mad VTEC super powers, or the d16a6 with the ported head and cam.
I will post pic of the EF when I`ll be a normal user, not a trial
