Default Fan switch on d16y7 from d16a6

did a search on this one already but i just wanna make sure coz i only found one thread

i had a d16y7 longblock swap on my civic wagon that got a d16a6 dpfi

my only problem is the fanswitch of the d16a6 is too big to fit on the d16y7 block

will the eng cooling temp sensor near the distibutor on the cylinder head work as a fan switch? coz it fits on the d16y7 block

nope u need to put a plug like the one on the iacv/iat its a 2 pin plug u need to adapt that to the 2 wires that go to the old style fan switch (2 pins inside the big black plastic cone looking thing) ur going to have to extend the wires...

the new temp fan switch will be on the thermostat housing right where all the grouns bolt up to...

and no the engine temp sensor will not turn on the fan...

u have to cut off the old 2 pin plugs from the old fan switch and adapt a 2 pin round plug like either of these...
