Default Strange Oil Leak

I have a weird oil leak on my hands here.. I replaced the crank main, the balance shaft seal/retainer, and the cam seals a while back, and has been dripping oil slowly for a while now..

I took off the cover today, and the leak is not coming from either the crank main or the balance shaft seal that I replaced its not from up top near the cam seals either.. I found oil on the balance shaft belt tensioner(balance shaft belt is off) and behind the tensioner where it bolts to the block. I took off the balance shaft gearset and I don't think it is coming from there either.. I might replace the o-ring seal, but anyone have any ideas?

The bolt that the tensioner is on doesn't go into the crankcase does it?

no, it doesnt. however if theres oil around your tensioner, it may be that the tensioner itself is leaking oil..(Hurry up and replace before bent valves )

if not, then your only other option is the gearset cover...ive seen them leak slowly alot...esp if you have ever taken it off and reused the o-ring on it...but now that youve taken it off make sure you get a new o-ring for that gearcase...

those are the only 2 options left...are you 100% positive that its coming from this area of the engine???

Yea, the oil is dripping out of the vent hole in the bottom of the plastic cover...

The tensioner bearings seem to be sealed type, but is it possible that they filled with oil when my balance shaft seal popped out spewing oil everywhere, and it is just leaking oil now that it is spinning?

its possible that some old oil from the seal popping is finding its way out now that the engine is running....
however, it shouldnt be alot unless you didnt clean up this previous mess well...
