hey was up guys my bro just dynoed his car and 04 rsx-s. the first time he got 171 hp but everytime he would dyno after it power would go down and down. it went so low his last run was 148 hp. we then installed the Comptech full racing header the illegal ones and we dynoed his car again. this time his best run was 188 and his worst 174. the guy at the dyno said that the hoter his car got the more power he lost. do you guys know what is causing this??? anything will help thanks

it depends on dyno, humidity, weather, ambient temp, car's temp, and so on.

there are a lot of factors on why his cars numbers maybe going down. i suggest he get a compression and or leakdown test. i'd go with the latter of the 2

 

.....what intake? Stock? Short Ram? Cold Air? Was the dyno operator using a few fans (the typical turbo looking fans that dyno's use)? Heat soak would be my guess, Unless something happened on the dyno mechanically to the car, I personally wouldn't be worried about a leak down or compression test.... just my .02

 

ECU plays with this also.
