the car is around 2000 with me in it. The block is resleeved. It was on the m&h radials. The car beside me ran like a 13.1. Any other ?'s? Im working on going to a track that doesn't put the nomex down.
Edit - I'm trying to get my friend to let me take his vid. cam this weekend

i want a better est. of what my real time is. They spray the WHOLE track with the nomex, not just the start. I want to go to a track that has just the start area sprayed, but the place i raced at had the WHOLE track sprayed with it. Like i said, i figured id have like a 10.8 or so.
I thought nomex was only used for Flame Resistant Apparel and what not. Never heard of spraying a track down with nomex. But what do i know.

10.40's @ 132mph with a 1.5 60' foot on radials? Right, and I'm sure spraying a fire retardent on the track surface contributed to that record pass. I'm going to have to raise the b.s. flag on this one.

I'm with the professer on this one! people have a hard time getting that 60' on 26x9" slicks

like i said, i believe it was nomex, idk, it was some sticky **** though. There was a guy with a 1020rwhp mustang that ran a 7.9 on DR's and he didn't spin at all. It mighta beens omething with a V....i can find out for sure though. Next time i make it out, i'll have a video for you haters.
All i know, is the track had sticky **** on it. After passes, you seriously had to take a cloth and rub the crap off of your tires, it looked like crazy-glue
Edit: My friend who was there said he thinks it was VHT? I honestly dont know what the crap was though.

Thats what he said he thought it was. Is it a really sticky track spray that they normally only use in the warmup/start area? If so, thats the stuff. For some reason I thought it was called nomex or something?

I'm in no way hating, just disbelief. 1.5's are what the best SFWD entries are pulling on 24.5'+ slicks and drag suspensions. For you to claim that accomplishment on 215's IS in fact, rather hard to believe. If in fact that slip is real, more than likely it is an electronic error. At a local test and tune, my buddy's beater went 11.78 @ 92mph with a 1.42 60' ft. His car is a 94' Ford Probe GT that normally goes 15.20's.

it COULD be a computer error. I don't know, I know they did just get new computers. I know that i did beat my friend who has my old RX-7 that ran 11.4s last season, so i figured id be around a 10.7-10.8 or so. I am waiting for the weekend to head to a different track though, that or wait til they have it opened again this time.
