So, does anyone else have a problem similiar to this, or does it burn more oil when VTEC is hit, i used to have tons of smoke coming from exhaust, but i changed my PCV valve and i stopped burning tons of oil and spraying out alot of smoke, but it seems sometimes when i hit vtec i look in rearview and see a small amount of smoke, either im dumb and im just looking at dust or thats actually a little bit of smoke still, and im very sure its not my rings, car only has 50k miles on it.

 

I think its normal, every honda i've ever seen in high rpm's smoked a little.

 

yea my 2000 gsr does the same thing...including most others i seen...even the dealer told me so......revving high especially on v-tec...should burn little oil..............i add a half of quart of motor oil every week cuzz im always getting on the v-tec...hey gotta love it...

 

idk bout the ob2 models but i have a ob1 gsr and my **** will only burn half of court im streetracing all the time i dont get that burning oil when im at high rpm also i have a chip p28 with type r air flew mixture and im reving up to 9 instead of 8 on stock internals

 

i go through oil like nuts also (94gsr). i installed a catch can and it cut down on smoke (oil going iin through the intake manifold). it is damn nuts how much oil flows right past the pcv valve. when i drain it it makes me feel better knowing that all of that oil isn't going in the IM.
