Here is what people will tell you:

1.) Do a compression test
2.) Do a leak down test
3.) If 1 & 2 turn out good, boost it.

Boost it. If shes too worn and blows then rebuild after that!

Anything can happen what are you going to tune the car with? 230k is alot of miles, but if the compression is alright then its irrelevent.

Think of it this way, if you knew a girl that had un-protected sex with over 300 men, and after those thoughts you still wanted to have sex with her, wouldnt you think about doing some tests before you just see what happens . JMO

yeh same exact situation lol

but seriously, just boost it, whats the worst that can happen....it'll lose compression faster and you'll need to buy a new motor, right?

well if the motor isn't good now, you'll either need to rebuild it first or buy another. So basically you can't lose, just do it!!

Regardless of mileage ^^^. I've boosted a few LS's w/ over 100K and one w/ over 200k. No issues except traction problems

Just do it. I just boosted my LS with 218,000 miles and she is running perfectly on Uberdata at 7 psi.

I'd watch out for the rods letting go with that many miles on the motor.

it'll be fine well tuned, lower psi.

its been done...

any engine can let go any time though, once its pushed a bunch. sometimes there are weak links to an engine. not too common with honda's though...they are TOUGH for what they are.

a buddy of mine made 230 whp on a 200K d16z6 block.

The LS rods are different than the b16/gsr rods. The design of the big end puts all the pressure on the rod bolts.
