Hey everyone, my name is Christina and this is my project car. It is a 1993 si hatch. It belonged to a friend of my boyfriend and was stolen and stripped . The theives took the entire drivetrain and interior, but the shell was rust free and in great shape (rare for the northeast). To make a long story short, we decided to save this car from being scrapped and give this poor little hatchie a second chance and a new life.

Ive always helped my boyfriend work on his cars, and ive always read other peoples project threads on here.. so when this opportunity came along to start my own project car i was excited. I plan to completely rebuild this car from where it is now back to where it should be and do my own mods as I go along.

Im unsure of what motor i want to go with ultimately, but im hoping to make this a quick and fun little hobby car for myself. My daily driver is an 03 rsx-s and id really like something that has a good amount of power becuase im used to driving that.

The theives also took the bumper and hood and put their own smacked up bumper and hood on the car (NO idea why).. guess they needed to get rid of the stuff...

We are in the process of picking up a parts car.. it is a 92 CX that has front end damage.. i plan to strip the car and complete this one.. i will be replacing the hood, bumper, and fenders with NEW stuff.

As you can see, ive sanded the entire car. I plan to paint the car 'Graphite grey' from the lexus is300.. i wanted to paint it black but have been talked out of it.. this is my next fav color for the car.

This past week, we started prepping the engine bay for it to be repainted. here are some before and after pics:

I still have a lot of sanding left to do.. but the engine bay is 3/4s done. I started by pressure washing everything... then we began to undo everything on the firewall and etc. I am now in the stages of sanding and stripping the old paint.

 

Here are some shots of the interior..
im very unsure of what to do for seats and etc..
my bf has some black leater rsx seats (below) which im considering using.. or i may just go with some GSR leathers.. if i can find some in nice shape...
as you can see the interior was left in shambles....

Im unsure at this point.. im considering ls/vtec with gsr head and tranny.. or maybe gsr turbo.. everything is up in the air.. and i have a lot of work to do before i can even get to the point where the car is ready for a motor.. as you can see.

probs for a "Girl" doing her own ****, I find that kick *** that a female dont mind getting durty , probs to those that arent lazy ...
(getting my girl into autocross slowly, but surely

MHO, I would go, gsr turbo, ls/vtec gets complicated just to get a NA motor to run confortablly...seen quite a few in your area blow

They are rsx seats and im not sure how they will fit.. im hoping to bolt up 3 of the brackets and then bend the other one into place.. but we may not be that lucky. they are currenly my bf's seats and hes debating selling them...
