Default DA's - Coupe vs 4dr.

How much extra weight does the 4dr carry? Think a 4dr sleeper would be pretty fun.

for the DA the coupe weighs 2,560 and the 4door weighs 2,605, its quite a few pounds.

The 4dr gets it back in Handling though.

I have heard that the 4dr Tegs have a stiffer body.

thats only 40 lbs, not too much.

Such a dilemma, i want something lightweight but i don't want a damn civic either.

i dont know, you can make any car nice, as long as its clean, and oem, or jdm, i've seen clean 4drs before, and i've seen clean 2 drs before, but my opinion would be to go with the 2 dr

I had a 93 ls that had fiberglass fenders and a lot of weight reduction to the front end and I weighed it on a truck scale and it weighed exactly 2700 lbs. and the 91 sedan that i have now is rated at 2550lbs. I havent put it on a scale to find out exactly how much it weighs but if any thing it should be less than stock. As far as the stiffer body I haven't really noticed a difference but I just love the sleeper look of the sedan.

thats just as relevant to this topic as saying, "i like mayo".. GTFO</TD></TR></TABLE>

How is that irrelevant? I was simply stating that in my opinion the 4drs arent attractive, which is pretty obvious im saying i think he should just stick with a 2dr... but to each his own, if the OP wants one, more power to him, just keep it clean!

I do have a right to my opinion, and its ok if we disagree...

how are 4 door ugly? they are the same as the 2 door, with 2 other doors.

4 doors are awesome, get that.

and, a 4 door isnt a DA, its a DB1.

and, why is everyone sooo worried about weight? if youre worried about weight get a CRX. I had a real nice list of 90 DA v. 90 DB1 weight. I dont even think the weight difference is 40 lbs. Ill look at my service manual and post up tomorrow.

DB1 &gt; DA9
DB2 &gt; DA9
DB2 &gt; DB1

DB2 = 92-93 GSR FYI
