Its not anyhting hard more of a pain in the *** with a lot of finagling. I did this a while ago so I might miss a step but if you use common sense you will be fine. I did mine with no prior knowledge of any thing that has to do with steering.
Just unbolt the tie rods from the brackets that connect to the wheel. Take out all of the bolts that connect the rack to the frame/subframe. Then this is the part I cant remeber as well but you need to disconnect the steering rack from the steering coulum. Its a u-joint or universal joint that connects the rack to the coluom and is pretty easy to dettach. You have to take off all of the covers to the coloum and I pretty sure the steering wheel and air bag. After that slide under you car and you have to twist and turn the rack to get it to slide out. It will go out down and to the right (if you are looking the same way the car is going)
I just talked to my room mate and he said we took off th steering wheel and air bag as a precaution so it did not go off while we were eorking on it.
It took about 1.5 hours but most of the time was spent bullshitting.

Yeah, the cat needs to be dropped. You will also need to hammer out the shift linkage pin were it connects to the tranny. THAT IS A PITA!!! I ended up dropping the shifter from inside the car b/c I couldn't get the pin out. Everything else above is pretty accurate.
yea come to think of it you do need to remove the cat and linkage, just un bolt the cat from the header remove those rubber hangers and push the cat and b-pipe out of the way. and the linkage is a **** to remove, you mihgt need a new pin which you can get at a honda or acura dealership

Just for a follow up........ITs a BITCH!
I split the tierods,
-unhooked the linkage(at the firewall, under the dash),
-removed the chassi cross brace(which required moving the vac. canister to access the bolts),
-removed the exhaust,
-moved both shift link bars,
-disconnected the hard line and return hose(and pluged them in a hurry),
-unbolted it from the firewall......
and getting it out still required some finessing.
After getting it all back together......its fixed, .......YES!!!!!!
(NOte: I did not remove the tierod ends, and I also pulled it out towards the driver side...not the passenger side.)
Thanks for the help
