I am planning my trip now, so that I can go. When are you leaving for the expo? I cant take off too many days of work, so I am trying to plan everything out now.

 

I have reservations for Sat. through Tues. nights.

 

Also there is camping alloud at the track. I think some of the FL/NC crew might end up doing that to save some cash and to keep the kegerator/tv/playstation company at night

Alright guys, my plan is to leave Friday morning to arrive Friday night... then stay through Wednesday morning..... Anyone else from my area want to leave on Friday and roll with me? I will be driving back home on Wednesday

Dunno yet, but i know we are not leaving till saturday morning. The FL crew is pulling into NC friday night and going to burn it. Then from there, I'm just following.

Just thought of something.
The traffic situation that weekend (Memorial Day) is going to be Fukt up!
Especially leaving the DC area on Friday.

Friday berore Noon would be cool, though.
Now I remember why I hat caravans!

 

I was.. had it all lined up, but I can't bring myself to do it. I just can't do it..... I am doing everything in my power to keep her now...

btw.. I figured that traffic would suck that entire weekend, that's why I want to leave on Friday during the day.

Its a 10 hour drive from my apartment in MD.. 650 miles from the hotel....

 

10 hours to do a 650 mile drive... ok granny, the gas peddle is the long one on the right

 

.. I got my figures from mapquest... also tried to incorporate the memorial day traffic into the figure

 

I don't see any point getting there before Saturday, sometime around check-in time.
That already leaves everyone a day or two to get acquainted and what not.
Then again, I've got Fridays off anyway.....

And, I forgot.
You drive pretty much the way I do!

 

I've got it down to a 4 hr drive to get to Youngstown from Old Town. ~305
That's not too bad an average for a holiday weekend drive, w/Troopers and fuel/rest stops.

I would like to leave on Friday and take some time to get there.... maybe crash overnight somewhere on Friday on the way... I dont know.... what do you think? Or we could leave early Saturday morning to get there saturday night, but I prefer getting there a little earlier than that.... but it doesnt really matter to me... what do you think Ed?
