H22 in CRx
alot of torque (2.2 Liters) also need to get good suspensions & tires to make the power useful in a CR-X espically . . overall tho its fair in somewayz . . light car . . heavyer engine . . more power . . less mileages (drastic) but u get what u wanted . .

i would try to stay between 92-95 on the engine year, it helps make wiring easier. the tricky part on the h22 is getting axles that fit right. there are alot of junk kits out there that bind when turning. most kits are too long, and the axles have to be cut shorter to work correctly. also this swap is pretty much perminant as you have to butcher the passenger mount bracket, as well as cut a huge hole in the floor for the shift cables. just something to think about

The H22 is not that much heavier than the B-series engines. Putting heavier 17s wheels vs lightweight 15" is kinda like how much difference in weight the 2 engines are.(not exact, but the point is its not a factor)
Yes there will be more torque vs bseries. its a good motor in that car.

so how's the driving ability? i heard that it drive like **** in 92 civic hatch due to engine unbalance weight (the driver side is heavier than the passenger side) so the car keep going to left. is that also true in crx? hasport should have these covered right?
car balance is fine, i had a daily driver 93 civic hatch with an H22 and i loved it, damn fast with a light weight flywheel and 6 puck clutch and handled very well..
if someone told you the car keeps pulling to the left, then they needed an alingment pretty damn bad

i got my motor from nippon-motors.com, was a rock solid motor, drove it 1800 miles to nebraska when i moved in three days and didnt leak a single drop, and drove 1000 miles in one day when i went to utah and didnt leak a single drop or complain one bit
I had an H22 in a rex a couple years back, when there really wasnt to much aftermarket support for the swap. The only major problem with the car was the axles. They were always on a an angle so they would break like once a week. It almost killed me one time going down the highway the drivers side axle like seized up and sent me across the median into oncoming traffic. I used crx axles with prelude/accord inner splines. They fit perfect but the motor just wasnt set right in the car. It was a blast to drive a light *** car with all that torque though!
My h22 crx weighed in at 2020 lbs with out me in it so its the same or maybe even ligther then a B series. My car handles and corners like a dream. 7+ months now daily driving and weekend track car no problems at all. Drives like it was meant to be from the factory.
