Was getting into the car and my camera slipped. Came out pretty cool for a botch shot I'd say .

Question: When I was removing a piece of trim from my car, my tool slipped and put a small 1/4" x 1/4" mar all the way to the primer on a flat part of the paint...I've since painted over it maybe 20 times with touch up paint then wet sanded it back to flush with the surrounding paint using 2000 grit sandpaper. Now, my question is -- should I bother putting clear over the damaged portion of the paint? Or will it just flake off later? And where can I locate a small quantity of some good clearcoat in the Bay Area?
