Default My Maxbore Experience

Hey, all!

I have to say this guy is exactly as he says he is. The other posts are true, but I wanted to tell everybody that hasn't seen it before, " USE MAXBORE, PERIOD."

I have a 98 EX, the throttle body is different than other Civics. Aftermarket TBs are way more than the $100 that you'll spend at Maxbore. I found one a Summit for $579. Totally, I spent $110.75, that includes shipping it to sunny FL from Minnesota. It came back in 8 days, from my post office and back to my front door. He shipped it back in the same box I shipped it in, even using the same packing material.

I bolted it back on, disconnected the battery and reconnected it, fired it up. It runs just as it did when it left. Same idle, same everything.

I'm doing a "stage 1" build up, so I haven't changed any internals of the motor. Just getting the throttle body bored shaved a half a second off my 0-60 time. That is what I call money well spent.

thanks, Jorge!

You actually gained power on a stock motor? or is your motor built. Whats your setup and do you have any pictures of the TB?
