Default I have a 93 eg(civic hatchback cx).. I want to know the best swap for this

Im new to hondas but i knew what motor i wanted in the first place which was the gsr but then i ran into a deal with a h23 and i found out it was so much money to do and there was alot of customizing to fit this swap...basicly a big head ache to get it running properly in the eg.. so now im kinda thinking to get a type r swap or a gsr but im not too sure does any one know what i should get that will perform the best in my eg i tried looking for a complete legit gsr motor swap but everyone wants around $4,000 for complete with install i only want to spend $3,000 but i cant find anyone....please let me know which swap i should get ....i was told b series are the easiest and they run real hard

start here:

then start searching if you have a debate over what motor to get. there are tons of threads comparing various swap options (type r v h22, etc).

The best swap would probably be an RB26DETT which you could pick up for about $5000 or a 2JZ which would be a little more expensive they could put down plenty or power. You will however need to be VERY good at fabrication and wiring. I have actually seen a 4g63 which is a motor from a DSM.
