Default Speedo removal from ITR cluster

Can someone tell me how easy/difficult this is to do? I want to swap a Euro speedo into my JDM cluster and want to know whats involved before i ***** anything up. I dont want to use the whole euro cluster as it has ABS and SRS and my 96spec doesnt plus some of the warning lights are in different places, so i thought it would be easier to just swap out the speedometer from the euro one.

Sorry i didnt make myself very clear. I have a JDM ITR with standard JDM cluster. The speedo on it reads to 180kmph. I am thinking of buying a Euro ITR cluster in which the speedo reads to 240 or 260kmph. I want to keep my stock cluster and fit just the speedometer clock from the euro cluster into it.

I want to know how to remove the speedo unit from one and fit it to the other...

Maybe because he's in Europe and doing a Euro conversion on his 96 spec.

No real reason, i just prefer the speedo clock with the higher readings on it. Here in ireland we changed to kms last year, and so all new cars have KMPH speedos, my mom's little 1.0l nissan micra's speedo reads to 220kmph and i just think its a bit odd looking that my speedo only goes to 180kmph. Theres no real reason behind it other than me being me.

this is simple. remove the clear plastic cover and set it aside. there will be 3 DEEP holes w/ screws inside, THEY ARE A BRONZE/BRASS color. Remove those. Now, you can remove the CF cover on the front. There will be 3 or 4 screws right behind the speedometer. Remove those. Swap gauges and complete the removal of everthing inreverse.

CAUTION!!! Be very carefull when removing the clear plastic and CF piece...they're very brittle. If you need pix, let me know.

Of course, Ireland is the source for UKDM ITR clusters. Isn't that right, Nathan (^^^)?

Yeah, I bought two as well right around the time Ireland was switching to metric. And I sold Circuit Star-29 (Nathan) one.
