Default Looking to get H&R springs but not sure which one?

Hey guys

i have a 88 civic lx 4 dr i want to drop it but im not sure which h&r to go with. i've seen then the OE sport springs with drop it 3/4 and the sport springs that do 1.9(f) and 1.8(r) but i want to look nice and low, like 2 finger gap between the tire and body. i'm going to be getting 15s soon and run 195-50-15s and wondering which one will give me that clean dropped look? If you guys have any PICS that would be awesome especially on a sedan. Thanks for you help guys.

-NK

Ohh i've also searched it but really didnt find the answers/pics i was looking for.

205 50 15 tires and go with the sport spring the 1.9 drop or whatever you said. then buy a camber kit for the front and the rear and then.. get an alignment.

i'd say go with the H&R race springs if you want the dropped look... especially since you'll be getting 15's... H&R sport doesn't drop that much in my opinion, you'll get a pretty big gap..

i dont want to go too low to the point were its going to rub taking hard turns and rub going over speed bumps and stuff. i want atleast a 2 finger gap between the tire and fender/quarter panel.

2 fingers hmm, the only time i rub is when going up a hill at the wrong angle or something like that. i don't rub in hard turns or anything

i do probably scrub a lil tire in the front when pulling u turns or something but that's b/c my setup is a 16x7 +35 on 195/45/16's
rear gap

front gap

that is h&r race on tokiko springs

i know its not a sedan, and its kinda hard to see in the pics, but here you go. i have neuspeed sport(green) springs, 1.8" rear 1.9" front, on tokico blues. i know i know save the tokico blue comments, i like them and haven't had any problem with them since ive had them. i also have 195 60 14 on my oe wheels rather than the 185 60 14.

if you dont want a big drop and a rough ride, then i dont suggest the H&R Race springs, i have them and hate them. any little bump/man hole i go over, a huge bang in the front. theres just no travle. h&r race with kyb agx struts. the struts are brand new also.. and still does it, maybe worse..

i'd go w/ sports. or a proper coilover and dial it in where you want it.

Camber doesn't wear your tires like everyone thinks it does. It's toe that's killing most peoples tires. Just get it aligned after the drop.

Agreed, save the camber kits for racing. If you get an alignment done and they say it's really out of spec, use the washer trick on the rear and a camber kit up front.

need help on my setup guys

it's on a gutted crx dx.... and with 14" wheels with 195/60/14 tires... i get like 2-3 fingers gap in front and 4-5 fingers gap on the rear?

is it because my car is too light? the suspension is H&R sport with AGX.... and it's only on it for 2 days.....

just want to know if i screwed things up or i didnt.... thanks a lot

Give it some time to settle.

And to the guy looking for 2 finger gaps all the way around b/c he is scared to scrape/rub/stroke/whatever, I have about 1 finger on all 4's and have yet to scrape, rub, drag, etc. I drive it daily. Hell, I even ran over a ladder with it and didn't encounter any damage!
